Dr. Rebecca Merkley was the Executive Functions Advisor for the EF+Math Program and served on the EF+Math Executive Team from 2019-2026.
Merkley is an assistant professor in cognitive science at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Her multidisciplinary research explores the role of executive function skills in learning foundational numeracy skills. Her recent projects have focused on research-practice partnerships in early mathematics education. She earned an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a D.Phil. in experimental psychology from the University of Oxford.
